F-117 Nighthawk Stealth EDF

31 August 2009 No Comment

F-117 edfThe F-177 Nighthawk EDF Jet is one of the coolest jets out there, and has received great reviews.  I was on RC Groups today and came across some people sharing some info on this particular jet, and thought I should share it with all of you.

The EDF jet is a replica of the Lockheed Martin F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Bomber Jet. The real thing was introduced in the 80's and became publicized during the Gulf War of the early 90's.  The stealth was retired in April of 2008 and replaced with the F-22 Raptor, but you can still take it to the skies.

The R/C version is very awesome and comes equipped with some amazing features.  The flying mechanisms are that of the actual F-117, so you get a different flying experience from the jet.  A really neat feature on these EDF's is actually retracting landing gear, and even a working bombay door that drops small plastic bombs (that of course don't explode haha). Below is a really good review video done by Banana Hobby that all of you should check out.  It covers all the details of the Stealth Bomber, and has really good images of the jet in flight. Also, check out the online auction below the video in which you can purchase a Ready-to-Fly F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Bomber R/C EDF Jet.
